THANK YOU to WalMart for approving the grant we applied for last Agust (August 2011) to help continue our efforts in providing the Back Pack Buddy bags to the economically challenged children in Cumberland County.

Hungry Angelz received the grant money in November 2011 and most of it has been spent, even though the ceremonial grant checks were handed out Wednesday, March 7, 2012.

   HOME

A HUGE THANK YOU to Patrick and his crew at Carolina Ale House, The Tarheel Chapter of the Nam Knights Motorcycle Club, the Nam Knights Ladies, and Deano with the folks at WKML for all their wonderful particpation and sponsorship Saturday, April 21st!

Hungry Angelz truly was blessed by everyone who came out and participated in this amazing fundraiser.  We can't thank these folks mentioned above enough for their time, energy, dedication, and support for the  Hungry Angelz kids.

For all those folks who came out and gave donations for the Silent Auctions, gave monetary donations and showed an interest in our cause, the Hungry Angelz volunteers are truly grateful!

You are all truly AMAZING!!!

Help is desperately needed!!

With food costs rising, we are in dire straits trying to make sure all the economically challenged kids get Back Pack Buddy bags on weekends.  Right now we will run out of resources in early April so if you can help with either food or a monetary donation we would be extremely grateful.

All donations are used to get fod dor the Back Pack Buddy bags we give the social workers to give to the kids--our volunteers are just that...Volunteers.  We are committed to making sure these kids are helped and appreciate all our suporters.  we don't want to turn down a child in need!

PLEASE CONSIDER MAKING A DONATION SO THAT HUNGRY ANGELZ CAN CONTINUE TO PROVIDE THESE FOOD BAGS TO THE "Economically Challenged" KIDZ IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY.

No donation is too small.  A six pack of small boxed raisins helps give six kidz a fruit snack over the weekend!

We operate year round to help these kidz.  Monetary and food donations are welcomed throughout the year and can be dropped off at the Ultimate Storage Company location at 2655 George Owen Rd or 5017 N Sumac Circle in Fayetteville or at our monthly meetings.  Again, any and all donations go to the kidz and are greatly appreciated!

Thank you for your support!

Hungry Angelz truly appreciates WalMart's approval of our grant request. Hungry Angelz received the $30,000 grant money in NOVEMBER 2011 and the majority of it gas been spent over the past 4 1/2 months.  WalMart is very community involved and has assisted all four non-profit groups in continuing their work.  Help is still needed on an ongoing basis as the need is still rising...and remember that ALL donations go to help the KIDZ!

Our Next Meeting is set for Saturday, 5/19/12 at 10am at our regular meeting location, the social hall at St. Matthew's United Methodist Church at 202 Hope Mills Road.   Please join us.  Members are asked to bring a donation of food to the meeting for our pantry!

Hungry Angelz thanks everyone who supported our organization by adopted a duck for the Fayetteville Duck Derby which was held on Saturday, May 5, 2012.

The five prize winners can be found on the website for the Duck Derby which is www.fayettevilleduckderby.com

If your group or organization has a confirmed date and time to help us pack food bags, PLEASE be sure to be at our storage location on time and with those folks you have signed up.  We have reserved space in which to pack bags and thus if your group does not show as expected Hungry Angelz is  left without adequate baggers and short on bags.  We will remove those groups that are "no-shows" from our bag packing waiting list.

If a conflict arises with the time or date of your packing session, PLEASE contact Linda Zema as soon as possible so that other arrangements might be able to be made!

Our Bagging site is:  Extra Space Storage

2655 George Owen Road, Fayetteville 28306

We greatly appreciate your support for Hungry Angelz!

As we operate throughout the year to help the kidz, our food pantry runs low quickly!  Food and/or monetary donations would be greatly appreciated in order for us to continue getting the weekend food Back Packs to the children we support.  See our "DONATIONS" or "ABOUT" PAGES FOR MORE INFORMATION ON DONATING!

THANK YOU TO ALL THE BUSINESSES, ORGANIZATIONS, CHURCHES AND INDIVIDUALS WHO HAVE DONATED TO OUR CAUSE!  WE COULDN'T DO IT WITHOUT YOU!

DISCLAIMER:  The number of children we (Hungry Angelz) provide Food Bags for is based on the number of Back Pack Buddy Bags each Social Worker who has signed up for Back Pack Buddy Bags through Hungry Angelz.  We maintain a list of the "signed up" schools and social workers with the number of bags requested and that is where our  numbers come from.  The Social Workers contact us if they wish to receive bags from Hungry Angelz--it is their choice as to where and from whom they get assistance for their children.  Total numbers of chldren in Cumberland County attending schools who qualify for these programs can be gotten from the Social Services folks--if they give us a total number we will pass it on.
